Sunara Energy is a fully licensed, bonded, and insured solar contractor. Choosing an installer is a 25-year decision, so this page sets out our credentials in detail — the licenses we hold, the coverage that protects you, and the guarantees that stand behind every installation.

Licensing and certification

We hold active electrical and solar contractor licenses in every state in which we operate, and we maintain them in good standing with each state contractor board. Our design and installation teams are certified to build grid-tied and battery-backed photovoltaic systems to the latest National Electrical Code.

Certified crews, never subcontractors

Your system is installed by Sunara’s own W-2 employees, not day-labour subcontractors. Every crew lead is certified and every install is supervised, so quality and accountability never leave our hands.

Insurance and bonding

We carry comprehensive general liability insurance and workers’ compensation coverage, and we are bonded on every project. That means your property is protected, our workers are protected, and you are never exposed to liability if something goes wrong on site.

Permits and inspections

We pull all required building and electrical permits and coordinate every inspection and utility interconnection on your behalf. Your system is designed to code, inspected by your local authority, and formally approved by your utility before it produces a single kilowatt.

Utility interconnection

We manage the entire interconnection process — application, approval, and net-metering setup — so your system is legally connected and eligible for the credits that make solar pay.

Workmanship warranty

In addition to the manufacturer warranties on panels, inverters, and batteries, Sunara backs the installation itself with a 25-year workmanship warranty. That covers roof penetrations, mounting hardware, wiring, and labour — the parts of a solar system that depend entirely on the quality of the install.

How to verify our license

You can and should verify any contractor before you hire them. Email license@sunara.energy for our current license numbers, certificates of insurance, and bond details, or look us up directly with your state contractor licensing board. This page was last updated on July 14, 2026.
